How did you end up working for TurnerFox, and a little about your background before you joined the company?
I originally started as an apprentice recruiter for a recruitment agency that focused on recruiting healthcare professionals for various mental health and care home facilities in and around Nottinghamshire.
I progressed from apprentice to a permanent consultant role but was unfortunately made redundant due to the Mansfield branch moving to Sheffield.
Turnerfox was 100% the silver lining in this situation, I quickly moved into my new role on the temporary desk as a Resourcer; 5 years later, I work as a 360 consultant over a variety of different sectors, and the rest is history!
What is your favourite part of the job role?
Recruitment is never static, it’s constantly changing and no two days are ever the same! It almost guarantees you’ll learn something new every day which keeps the role fresh. It’s given me the chance to build relationships and work with some brilliant people as well as grow my confidence and communication skillsWhat has been the most challenging part of the job role?
Realising not everything will go the way you want it to, people are very unpredictable and sometimes not everything will work in your favour!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Myself and my partner bought a house at the start of 2020 which we are slowing in the process of renovating. I also love travelling, experiencing different cultures and cuisines.
What is your proudest work accomplishment so far?
I’d say my overall proudest accomplishment is placing large numbers of temps successfully, it’s always really stressful and a number of different situation can arise however there’s no better feel than when you’d pull it off and both the client and staff are happy.
