Electrical Design Engineer – Controls Systems

We have excellent opportunities for an experienced design engineers to join our lovely a highly successful engineering client based in Nottinghamshire.
You will be responsible for designing electrical and control systems from customer specification through to commissioning, producing electrical schematics, panel layouts, and supporting documentation.
The role of Electrical Design Engineer – Controls Systems will involve
- Using EPlan Electrical Design software to design electrical control systems to current legislation
- Produce electrical schematics, panel layouts, and bills of materials
- Liaise with customers to gather technical requirements
- Support manufacture, installation, and commissioning
- Produce FAT, IO lists, calculations, and QA documentation
The ideal candidate for the role of Electrical Design Engineer will have:
- Proven experience in electrical control system design
- Use of EPlan design software
- Strong knowledge of low and medium voltage systems
- Experience with switchgear, control gear, and PLCs
- PLC programming experience advantageous
Experience in industries such as food & beverage, packaging, process control, automation, renewables, or materials handling would be beneficial.
